Chat rooms are one of the areas online, which children frequent. The chat rooms are an area where people meet to find a date, talk about world issues, conduct business, and so forth. You really need to do your research to find a safe chat room for child. Most chat rooms have many advanced features available today making it easy to go on live video conferencing and more. The webcams is often utilized in chat rooms, since the cams make it convenient for others to watch you as you chat. 

Since the chat rooms have advanced in technology, more dangers came lurking through the doors. The Internet is a major highway and on this highway, including in chat rooms, are people from all over the world. One of the most harmful acts that go on in chat rooms is known as Cyber Sex. To give you an idea of what the chat rooms offer and how they work, I will setup a chat room structure, which could prove beneficial for helping you to protect your child while online.

Chat Room Structure
You will click on Chat, and once the box opens you will see a list of chat room options. You will something like Black Voice, Latino, Romance, Friends, Life, etc. AT the right side of the screen, you will notice additional room information, such as Beach Party, Bored, Interracial Relationships and more. This structure is to demonstrate to you how the chat room works. I am going into the Friends chat room, to view the actions that go on inside the Forties Friend area. Right now, it looks like a clean area for a child to visit, yet the forties mean that this area is probably for adults. Yet the listings often defy what they actually mean, i.e. if you see a chat room under friends, it likely will be a different topic than what is listed.

Once inside the chat room, you will notice to the right side of the screen various names. Some of the chatters will list their real name, while others will list alias names. If you click on those names, you can select from the list options, including Buddy Info. If you click here, you will notice that people give details about self, as well as post pictures. Here is a danger, since if your child puts up a profile that includes personal information or pictures, your child is at risk.
